The Course at La Cantera Resort

Designed by noted golf course architect Jay Morrish and PGA professional Tom Weiskopf, The Course at La Cantera winds through the Texas Hill Country offering breathtaking views, the most notable being a sheer 80‐foot drop from the 7th tee to the fairway.

The par 72 golf course in San Antonio features five sets of tees on each hole to accommodate every skill level. Six holes have breathtaking views of San Antonio, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the scenic Texas Hill Country. Natural features include natural water features, streams, live oak groves, limestone rock outcroppings and 75 dramatic white sand bunkers.

The Course was home to the PGA and Texas Open since it first opened its doors, from 1995-2009 and was the founding element of what is now an award-winning 496-room luxury resort. Subtle renovations of the Resort Course were completed in latter 2017 refining bunkers, tee complexes, greens, and a Pro Shop refresh to create a more playable environment and maintain the championship level of play. Given many accolades, the Resort Course was consistently ranked amongst the highest in the state.

Tour of San Antonio

Experience the historical charm of San Antonio as you explore the Alamo and Spanish colonial missions, go to the top of the Tower of the Americas, and cruise the San Antonio River. Walk the legendary grounds and hear about the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. Get up close and personal with some of the Alamo’s largest weapons and fortifications. We’ll then take in the sights at the vibrant Historic Market Square. Listen to the stories of people who came to the Spanish missions in the 1700s. Take some free time to see the living quarters, compound walls, and the church. After a scenic ride, take an elevator ride up 623 feet/190 meters to the top of Tower of the Americas and witness the most magnificent view of the city, showcasing the stunning panoramic views of San Antonio from new heights at the tallest observation deck in Texas.
